How it works

Seven steps – from the vehicle list to the renewal routine.

For me, fleet insurance is a process, not a one-off contract. Here's what the journey looks like, from the first conversation to well-maintained, competitively tendered cover.

Vehicle list + claims list

Everything starts here: a current vehicle list (registration number, category, use) and claims history. If you don't have these to hand, I'll help put them together – I have a ready-made template.

Cover plan

We discuss what's needed: fleet MTPL in any case, casco for which vehicles and with what deductible, which add-ons – this can differ by vehicle category.

Comparison table

I request competing quotes from several insurers and compare them in one table: cover, deductibles, flexibility of adding/removing vehicles, claims-handling practice.

Decision and switch

You decide, I handle it: timing the terminations, starting the new contract, and aiming for continuity of cover. When switching, the goal is that not even a single day is left without cover.

Adding/removing vehicles during the year

New vehicle in, sold vehicle out – I report the changes, and the premium adjusts proportionally. One e-mail for the fleet manager, routine for me.

Claims

The fastest route for claim notification is the insurer's claims line and online platform – I provide a ready-made internal claims process for this. If a case gets stuck or becomes disputed, I help the client, where I can.

Renewal review

At renewal, with the claims record in hand, we take another look: for a good claims history we use it as an argument in the premium negotiation – the insurer decides the final premium – and for a worsening one we put an improvement plan alongside it. A new round of the market if needed.

The first conversation is typically 20 minutes, free of charge and with no obligation. How long the switch takes depends on the size of your fleet and the renewal dates – you'll see this precisely at the first conversation.

What do I need from you – and what don't I?

I need three things from you: the vehicle list, the claims list, and at the end, the decision and the signature. You don't need insurance expertise: the deadlines come from the insurer's notice and the fleet table; if you get in touch, I prepare the correspondence with the insurer – so the approval stays with you. fleet review article, and the pitfalls of switching in the switching-insurers guide.
